If you want a ship removed or hidden on the map
- The map isn't ours. It comes from the VesselFinder service, and Ships.com.ua only embeds it in its pages.
- The ship sends the signal itself. Its position goes out over open radio through the AIS system, and anyone nearby with a receiver can pick it up.
- Other websites and apps show AIS data too, so even if a ship could be taken off this map, it wouldn't become invisible.
You can ask VesselFinder about the data on the map through the contact form on its website.
